Support Staff Person of the Year Award

Criteria

Here’s your chance to give a support staff person the recognition they deserve! Tell us about a great staff member or coworker who’s doing an outstanding job in any library in the state of Oklahoma by filling out the form below. The winner will be announced at the Oklahoma Library Association’s Annual Conference.

Who qualifies as Support Staff? Library Support Staff members who have worked at least two years in a library of any type in a supportive role and who do not have a master’s degree in library or information science are eligible.

The Awards Committee will consider length and breadth of commitment/service to the library/board/committee; impact on the community or organization; promotion of library services or projects; and any other information that demonstrates service "above and beyond" what is commonly experienced or demonstrated.

OLA Membership is required to win this award.

Why do you think this person deserves to be Support Staff Person of the Year? The description may include a list of activities, programs, state and local organization participation and recognition, innovative programming and noteworthy achievements in the workplace. Other considerations are attitude, work ethics, interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and dependability. You may not nominate yourself.
